Meet Paul Strong, multimedia fine artist who grew up in Sydney, Australia before moving to the US in the late 70s. Paul originally went to school for City Planning but after moving to California (first San Francisco then LA) and being exposed to the art scene his path in life took a turn.
Paul persistently creates to explore techniques and their meanings. Whether he does this through using unique materials or connecting different styles he seems to always be challenging his approach.
At the age of 6 Paul tragically witnessed his Dad lose his life in a water skiing accident and the following 6 years he spent at a boarding school. Paul remarks, “The query of life and death has been an ever present influence of acceptance and curiosity.” He’s learned through art making to avoid hierarchies and instead celebrate the hidden or banal elements of life.
Paul is a profound example of someone who continues to self explore and we hope that he can inspire you to do the same.
