89 Year old Ginger Drinkwater originally from South Central LA has been documenting Venice through drawing and painting techniques for the past 60 years. After meeting and getting married to photographer Harry Dinkwater who passed away in 2015 (RIP), she became heavily inspired by the documentarian essence of photography and implemented it within her artwork.
Ginger believes that art should uplift people. She exemplifies this by using the process of creativity to uplift herself.
Not long ago developers showed up to Ginger's house and had her sign a fraudulent document making her liable for unaffordable monthly mortgage costs. The same situation is linked to 20 other elderly home owners and is currently being fought in court thanks to Ginger's son Jafiel(Joff).
Ginger has lived in that same home for the past 60 years and has been someone who has profoundly contributed to the Venice community.
