My art has always been related to the body, which cannot hide inner experiences. Every detail has a story, and every story is important. For me, a portrait is a dialogue with nature and material.
I started this series in 2020 when a turning point happened in my worldview. I realized that I am a stranger even to myself. however, I started this acquaintance through other people and their stories, to form my personal impression of the surrounding world.
The main impetus was the fact that I seemed boring and unimportant to myself. I didn't know how to talk about myself, I was disgusted by my own reflection. My only highlight was a noticeable appearance and the fact that I draw quite well. So I started researching the details. Facial expressions, gestures, hairstyle, and choice of jewelry. At first, I was looking for other people's stories, I was fascinated by how people talk about seemingly little things, but these little things shape a person. Gradually I returned to myself, as it turned out that I also had something to talk about. I chose a small format of works that are easy to take with you, put in a bag, or even in a pocket. Just as we always carry our history with us.
